Day trip to Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara is the seventh-largest lake of Tanzania by surface area, at 470-square-kilometre. It is a shallow, alkaline lake in the Natron-Manyara-Balangida branch of the East African Rift in Manyara Region in Tanzania.
The alkaline soda of Lake Manyara is home to an incredible array of bird life that thrives on its brackish waters. Pink flamingo stoop and graze by the thousands colourful specks against the grey minerals of the lake shore. Yellow-billed storks swoop and corkscrew on thermal winds rising up from the escarpment, and herons flap their wings against the sun-drenched sky. Even reluctant bird-watchers will find something to watch and marvel at within the national park.

You will be picked up by a driver-guide soon after your breakfast at 8:00AM with a short tour briefing and enroute to the Lake Manyara National Park. You will drive through the farmland of Karatu and the stunning Mto wa Mbu town which is the souvenir paradise just outside Lake Manyara entrance gate. Lake Manyara National parks is well known for its trees climbing lions. Lake Manyara attracts a large number of animals and birds due to the availability of the beautiful Lake which runs almost across the niches of the park. Lunch will be organized at the picnic site inside the park with more hours of game driving later after then drive back to Arusha at the evening.
