Kilimanjaro Mountain Helicopter Tour
Moshi Airport is the starting point for the Kilimanjaro Mountain helicopter tour. When the helicopter takes off, the pilot will aim it eastward so that it passes above the city. While avoiding the mountain range, you will be able to observe all of the climbing routes to Kilimanjaro throughout your flight. The largest tectonic lake in the Kilimanjaro region, Lake Chala, will also be passed over by aircraft.

You will be met by our airport crew at Arusha Airport and flown by two experienced
pilots on a Cessna Caravan comfortably seat 12 passengers.
JRO (Kilimanjaro International Airport) Drop off
Passengers with evening flights out of JRO e.g. KLM, Precision, Rwandair, can be dropped off
at JRO for an additional cost, thereby avoiding the road transfer between Arusha and
Kilimanjaro International Airport.

Luggage
- For clients who are connecting with another flight after the Kilimanjaro scenic flight in
Arusha Airport, we will store their luggage after check in. Once they return from the
scenic flight they don’t need to check out and go through a security check again. We will
help them with their luggage and connect the luggage to their next flight / airline.
- For clients who are being dropped off at JRO after the scenic flight, the luggage should
be transferred by road to JRO. By keeping our total aircraft weight low, it improves our
aircraft performance and enables us to reduce our carbon emissions.
Health and Safety Practices
- Aircraft cabins are thoroughly disinfected after each flight with approved cleaning agents.
- All passengers are temperature checked to confirm normality.
- Only window seats leaving aisle seats empty during the flight.
- Crews are temperature and their oxygen levels are checked before every flight.
- All passengers are required to wear a face mask during the flight. A disposable mask is
provided to you if you do not have one in your possession.
Weather
- If the weather is questionable on the day of your sky experience, Joagro Safaris Tanzania reserves the right to delay or cancel up to 30min before scheduled departure time.
- Our standard cancellations and scheduling policies still apply. In the event of a cancellation due to weather or technical issue, we will either issue a full refund or reschedule your clients on
another flight upon your consent. - If the weather deteriorates and we cannot land back in Arusha, we will divert to Kilimanjaro International Airport and land. Passengers can either wait for the weather to get better, then fly back to Arusha or take our arranged transportation from Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha at no extra cost.
- Viewing Mt. Kilimanjaro from the sky can never be guaranteed and in the unfortunate event that
clouds have covered the mountain during your flight, we will offer to reschedule you on another
flight (depending on availability)

Price excludes: helicopter flight over Kilimanjaro’s crater (because it is forbidden by Kilimanjaro National Park regulations).
